Nottingham Trent University (NTU) welcomes over 500 visiting students from around the world every year for study abroad exchanges through partnerships with education institutes in your home country and through the International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP).

You can also study at NTU without these programmes by paying the course fees to attend as a regular student. Many students choose to study in the UK for a period of time to experience a new culture and improve their language skills.

NTU offers scholarships to up to 50% to new international and European students.

University of Nottingham

The University of Nottingham (UoN) has a community of over 40,000 students from more than 150 countries with a great reputation in many sectors.

UoN offers support for international couples and families, including:
• dependant visas for family members
• childcare facilities and guidance on schooling

The university offers a range of undergraduate scholarships for international students including the Undergraduate Excellence Awards and sports-related scholarships.

The best place for international students to live in Nottingham

The north side of Nottingham city is one of the best places for international students to live.

Nottingham Trent Uni is located in this area (only a two minute walk from Stanley House), while there are plenty of direct trams to the University of Nottingham campus.

This area is perfect for students looking to socialise and explore the culture with Nottingham’s best bars, clubs, restaurants, and attractions just minutes away on foot. Rock City, Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Victoria Centre and The Cornerhouse are all less than a 10 minute walk away.

There are also a range of supermarkets – including international supermarkets – that you can easily reach to fill your kitchen with tasty food.
